What is a psychological test?
A psychological evaluation offers a snapshot of your emotional state. The evaluation looks at thinking, reasoning, and cognitive function. What is a psychological assessment used for?

A psychologist determines what information to use based on the specific questions being asked. Assessments can be used for many various reasons. Some examples of why psychological assessments are completed are: to determine if a person has a learning disorder, is competent to stand trial or has a traumatic brain injury, to determine competency in parenting, to determine if a person would be a good manager or how well they may work with a team and many other reasons.
